Fun Run/Walk For Education To Divert Saturday Traffic
A 5K Run/Walk for the Community Scholarship Fund of Pleasantville may cause traffic delays.

Drivers in Pleasantville can expect some delays on Saturday morning as traffic is diverted for a fundraising event. The Community Scholarship Fund of Pleasantville will have its 5K Run/Walk for Education fundraiser from 8 to 10 a.m.
Participants are checking in for the 5K and one-mile Fun Run near the Firehouse on Washington Avenue, between Edgewood and Manville Road. The one-mile run will proceed up Manville Road, then onto Great Oak and finally end up on Washington Avenue.
Registration for the Fun Run is available at the Pleasantville Recreation Department, as well as on chronotrack.

The Community Scholarship Find has provided scholarships for Pleasantville's graduating seniors since 1949. Scholarships are based on financial need, academic accomplishment and extracurricular activities. More information on the fund is available here.
As of 8 a.m. various Pleasantville roads will be closed to accommodate the races. Residents can expect road closures, detours and/or short delays on these roads at the following times:

- Washington Avenue (117 to Edgewood) – 8 to 11 a.m.
- Washington Avenue (Edgewood Avenue to Grandview Avenue) – 8:30 to 10 a.m.
- Washington Avenue (Pierce Drive to Grandview Ave) – 9 to 10 a.m.
- Manville Road (w/b; Washington Ave to Bedford Rd) – 9 to 10 a.m.
- Bedford Road (between Manville Rd and Pierce Dr) – 9 to 10 a.m.
- Pierce Drive – 9 to 10 a.m.
Memorial Plaza will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic will only be able to access the Pleasantville Diner and Valvoline Instant Oil Change from the north end of Memorial Plaza.
After 6 a.m Saturday, vehicles parked in Memorial Plaza, on the street and in the railroad station lot, will be subject to ticket and tow.
