BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — Chabad of Briarcliff-Ossining is running a campaign to collect gear and other necessary provisions for Israeli soldiers.

"So far people have been very generous," Rabbi Dovid Labkowski told Patch. "Many items already started arriving."

Chabad of Briarcliff-Ossining put together a list of items that soldiers have asked for and created a registry on Amazon.com.

"Click on this link and sponsor as many items as you would like," he said. "These items will be shipped to Chabad and we will arrange for its speedy shipment to Israel to our brothers and sisters on the front lines."

The campaign will continue this week. Rabbi Labkowski said a team will pack the items on Sunday and, he hopes, send it out next Monday.
