Holiday Rain, Snow on the Way

NWS is forecasting heavy rain tonight through Friday and chance of snow this weekend and on Christmas Eve.

It may not be a white Christmas in Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor this year, but folks should be ready for some major rain and a few snow showers this week and weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rain and strong winds for the area beginning late tonight and continuing into Friday morning.

According to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by NWS, strong winds and rain (and possible flooding) are anticipated in the great Westchester area.

The worst of the weather will hit during Friday's rush-hour, morning commute, according to the NWS.

Also, expect snow showers Friday night into early Saturday morning and more snowflakes on Christmas Eve night, according to the NWS. But it looks like Christmas Day is in the clear, with a high of 37 and partly sunny skies.
