Legoland Opens in Westchester [VIDEO]

New Yonkers attraction cost $12 million to create; center includes amusement rides and acinema.

After a $12 million price tag and the hiring of 100 employees, Westchester has its own Legoland.

The sprawling playground—located at the Yonkers Ridge Hill shopping center, 1 Ridge Hill Rd.—brought out hundreds of parents and children on a sunny Wednesday morning for its grand opening.

The 30,000-square-foot attraction includes classes, rides, play areas and a cinema. Local politicians like county executive Rob Astorino and Yonkers mayor Mike Spano were on hand to open the center to the public.
