A man fell asleep while driving on Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor April 20, police reported. According to the department, the man's vehicle went off road and hit both a tree and a railing in front of the 1312 Pleasantville Rd. office building at approximately 3:17 p.m. The railing was knocked over, police said. The man was transported via ambulance to Westchester Medical Center for treatment. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.

Briarcliff Manor Police reported the man was hospitalized after an asleep-at-the-wheel accident.
