Meet Maverick — A Friendly Domestic Shorthair Cat

I am a sweet, friendly, talkative and handsome young guy.

So what am I doing at the SPCA? Well that's a good question.

I know I had a home at one time but my people got lost. I went looking for them and wandered through an open gate into the rear yard of someone I did not know. Fortunately this "someone" turned out to be a very Good Samaritan." He took me into his home, fed me and introduced me to his feline friends. Well that was a mistake. We did not get along. I was OK but I think his cats looked at me as an intruder.

Anyway my Good Samaritan called all of the area shelters but no one wanted me except the SPCA. They said bring him to us. We will take care of him until we find a good family for him.

I am very happy that the SPCA invited me in because they made me feel welcome and safe. Life is almost good again. It will be very good when I find a forever family!
