Mount Pleasant Officials Take Office On New Year's Day

The town supervisor is beginning his sixth two-year term.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — Mount Pleasant’s new Town Board members took their oaths of office on Tuesday.

Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi is beginning his sixth two-year term.

“I am thankful to the people of Mount Pleasant for allowing me to continue our efforts to preserve our community’s best qualities as we position ourselves for the future,” he said.

Councilwoman Danielle Zaino was reelected in November, while Councilman Mark Saracino was elected to replace outgoing Councilman Jerry Schulman. Both will serve four-year terms.

Town Justice Robert Ponzini, highway Superintendent Richard Benkwitt and Town Clerk Emily Costanza also took oaths of office.
