Pleasantville, Briarcliff Athletes in the SH Half-Marathon
Local runners took on the tough course in Sleepy Hollow over the weekend.
Sleepy Hollow's annual half-marathon drew local runners from around Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville.

The overall winner of Saturday's half marathon was Fikadu Lemma, 29, from the Bronx with a time of 1:12:00.

The first woman to finish was Kate Pallardy, coming in 12th overall. The 27-year-old from NYC had a time of 1:22:12.

Congrats to all 884 participants from the region who finished this challenging race.
"This has to be the hardest half marathon ever," wrote David Raguso on Facebook.
Tarrytown's Karen Kuhn shared her finish photo on Facebook as proof that she completed this feat. The former roller derby competitor said, "That was rough! And I had to use some jammer skills to get through packs on the trails."
