Pleasantville Man Charged with DWI on Sprain Brook Parkway
Police: Driver, 44, stopped for speeding - 83 mph in 55 mph zone.
A Pleasantville man stopped for driving 83 mph on the Sprain Brook Parkway has been charged with drunk driving, according to State Police.
Police said a trooper spotted Joseph W. Hoffman, 44, of Pleasantville, speeding in the 55 mph zone on the northbound parkway in the Town of Greenburgh and pulled him over at about 3:10 a.m. Saturday.
The trooper, police said, found Hoffman to be intoxicated and charged him with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Hoffman was taken to the State Police barracks in Hawthorne and was later released pending a hearing on Thursday in Greenburgh Town Court.
