Bald Girls Do Lunch (BaldGirlsDoLunch.org) is the only national nonprofit organization created specifically for women and teen girls with autoimmune alopecia areata. This hair loss disease often begins in childhood. Connection and conversation with other women with AA leads the way to living well with alopecia. PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Pleasantville will gather Tuesday at the corner of Bedford Road and Broadway to remember and honor a resident known to many for many years. George Joseph Foscante was a crossing guard for the Pleasantville school district. He died suddenly from illness at 78, on Sept. 11. The community has commissioned a plaque in his honor. It will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the crossing where he kept so many children safe.
