Pleasantville To Memorialize Foscante With Plaque
The longtime crossing guard died in September.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Pleasantville will gather Tuesday at the corner of Bedford Road and Broadway to remember and honor a resident known to many for many years.
George Joseph Foscante was a crossing guard for the Pleasantville school district. He died suddenly from illness at 78, on Sept. 11.
The community has commissioned a plaque in his honor. It will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the crossing where he kept so many children safe.
