Police: Fallen Ladder Shatters Car Windshield
Briarcliff Manor Police report a hit-and-run of sorts occurred on Route 9A last Tuesday.
A truck left the scene of an accident after a ladder it was carrying slid off and shattered a car's windshield, Briarcliff Manor Police reported.
On Tuesday, Dec. 11, a woman contacted police at 4:55 p.m. to report while she was stopped at a Route 9A traffic light, a ladder had slid off a truck behind her and smashed her rear windshield.
The woman said she and the driver of the truck, a male, agreed to pull off to the side of the road to examine the damage.

However, the woman said the truck driver did not pull over.
She was unable to share a license plate number with police.
