Police Search For Runaway Driver After Wrong-Way Crash

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Police are still searching for a driver from a wrong-way crash at 6:40 a.m. Sunday on the Saw Mill River Parkway at Marble Avenue.

The head-on collision happened in the northbound lanes. One of the drivers, who was the only one in the vehicle, got out and ran into the woods. The occupants of the other vehicle refused medical attention, police said.

Officers from the Pleasantville and Mount Pleasant police departments, as well as Westchester County patrol officers and helicopter, searched the area for more than an hour but were unable to find him. The investigation continues.
