The Senator made national news after sending out a controversial tweet about the Boston Marathon bombing suspect. On his CNN show, Morgan called Ball a "jerk."

New York Senator Greg Ball (R, C — Patterson) made national news after sending out a controversial tweet following the announcement that Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was in custody.

He stated, "Who wouldn't use torture on this punk to save more lives?"

The April 19 tweet was soon being discussed on Fox News and yesterday, Ball appeared on Piers Morgan's CNN show, where the two argued the issue of torture.

Morgan asked Ball how he would torture the bombing suspect while keeping in mind that Tsarnaev is an American citizen who will be tried in the U.S. Court.

"Dude, you're talking to the guy that supports death penalty for cop killers, terrorists," Ball replied in the interview. "I'm talking about me. If you want to talk to the President of the United States about his policies the next time you golf or go play basketball with him, you can ask him."

The two men then bickered as Ball turned to ask Morgan a series of questions before saying that maybe he "should have said it in a British accent." Morgan is a British journalist.

"Can you stop being such a jerk?" Morgan replied. "You behave yourself as being really offensive."

Morgan tweeted after their interview, "Quite extraordinary interview with @ball4ny - called me 'dude', mocked my accent, and challenged me to an arm wrestle. Weird man."

Ball replied, "@piersmorgan it was fun! Lets do it again soon! Smile."

He later added, "Handed Morgan his butt last night. Reportedly he said I walked off. He knew I had Hannity at 940 pm. Sore loser. Rematch annnnytime!"
