Thornwood Woman Accused of Slashing in White Plains

A Thornwood woman is accused of allegedly slashing two 18-year-old females Monday night in front of a bus stop near the corner of Mamaroneck and Martine avenues.
White Plains Police were called to White Plains Hospital around 7 p.m. where the two girls, both from White Plains, were taken after one sustained a serious wound requiring surgery. The weapon allegedly used was a box-cutter.
The second woman was released from the hospital after being treated for less severe, but substantial, injuries. The identities of the alleged victims are being withheld as the investigation is ongoing.

Police arrested 18-year-old Christina Hernandez of Thornwood in front of 325 Mamaroneck Ave. around midnight and charged her with assault in the first degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.
According to police, the three girls had been disputing since they were in high school.
