Volunteers Bring Pleasantville HS Edible Garden to Life

This spring, classes and Garden Club members will pitch in for plantings and care at the new garden.

A group of volunteers made up of community members, parents and students braved the chilly Saturday morning air to begin forming garden beds behind the track at Pleasantville High School.

The day's efforts brought to fruition months of planning and fundraising for the school's edible garden, made possible through volunteer efforts and material and monetary donations from individuals and organizations.

Coming up this week, eleventh graders will begin the first season's plantings in the garden.
