Westchester Community Foundation $25k Grant to Support Volunteer New York!

Volunteer New York! will use this money to provide leadership training for Westchester's nonprofit staff and boards.

From Volunteer New York!: Westchester Community Foundation donated $25,000 to support Volunteer New York!’s Leadership Westchester program on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Volunteer New York! will use this money to provide leadership training for Westchester’s nonprofit staff and boards. There are currently over 350 active Leadership Westchester alumni connected to hundreds of nonprofit organizations and businesses around the world in positions of leadership or as board members.

“We thank Westchester Community Foundation for this generous grant, which will allow us to recruit new individuals for the Leadership Westchester class of 2018 from the nonprofit, for-profit and private sectors,” said Volunteer New York! Executive Director, Alisa H. Kesten. “As well as continue to connect alumni to board service and ongoing learning opportunities, helping to deepen the impact of Leadership Westchester.”

“Leadership Westchester is not your usual executive training program. It is an opportunity to become an effective leader by identifying one’s core values and developing authentic presence. It is truly transformative,” said Laura Rossi, Westchester Community Foundation, Executive Director.
