What's Open, What's Closed On Thanksgiving Day in Pleasantville and Briarcliff?
Pleasantville village offices are closed Thursday AND Friday — but recycling pickup will be normal Friday for cans, bottles and plastics.

What’s closed on Thanksgiving and what’s open? Government offices are closed on this day of thanks and there will be no mail delivery from the U.S. Post Office. There is also no UPS or FedEx pickup or delivery.
Public libraries are closed and school will be out for the rest of the week.
Pleasantville Village Offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. However, DPW will resume regular Village-wide pickup of recyclables on Friday (plastics, cans and bottles).

Many businesses are closed, but don’t panic if you forgot to get pumpkin pie or another essential ingredient for your holiday dinner. Stores that are open include Shop Rite, Hannaford, Key Food, Associated supermarkets and Target. Walmart is open for limited hours on Thanksgiving and longer hours on Black Friday. Stew Leonards in Yonkers and Danbury will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
