Join us at the First United Methodist Church for the last documentary in the 2025 season. RUNA SIMI follows one man’s effort in Peru to bring THE LION KING to the indigenous people of Peru in Quechua in the belief that language should not be a barrier to sharing joy.

A discussion follows the film on the importance of indigenous languages with the Honorable Lizbeth Gonzalez, part of the SBU Black and Latino Alumni Network and the Algonquian Language Revitalization Project.
