30 Mattituck High School Students Inducted Into National Honor Society
"Congratulations to these amazing students."
MATTITUCK, NY — It was a proud moment recently as 30 Mattituck High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society.
On March 19, students, families, staff and Superintendent of Schools Shawn Petretti gathered to honor the 30 students who had demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, district officials said.
"Congratulations to these amazing students who have demonstrated all the qualifications and characteristics that are required to become a member of this prestigious honor society," Petretti said. "We are proud of your achievements, and I am confident you will continue to succeed and lead."

In her address to the inductees, National Honor Society President and Class of 2024 valedictorian Jolin Chen welcomed the new inductees to the chapter, which began in 1950, and emphasized the importance of leadership, service, scholarship and character as the students continued a long MHS tradition. The students also invited English teacher Ms. Anne Gilvary to be the guest speaker.
The following newly inducted members include Georgia Buckley, Nicholas Chew, Riley Corrigan, Allie Czujko, Tim DePaulis, James Felakos, Alexandria Field, Colin Fitzgerald, Justin Fox, Summer Hinch, Maxwell Gaveau (senior), Ella Inbar, Peter Ixcotoyac-Krogulec, Haley Lake, Rhianna Lutz, Andrew McKenzie, Callie McLean, Declan Morris, Bridget Mulrain, Nyla Nieves, Rebecca Nyilas, Paige Rittberg, Matthew Rosato, Alexandra Rychlik, Casey Szczotka, Sean Szczotka, Tanner Vaccarella, Benjamin Voegel, Charlotte Warren and Luke Weir.
