Here are the top stories today in Riverhead:

  1. Apple Honda raised $6,100 for North Fork Breast Health Coalition during its annual fundraiser. The dealership has now raised a total of $71,642 for the coalition since 2013.
    The organization, founded in 1998 by Jamesport residents Antonio and Ann Cotten DeGrasse, provides financial assistance and services to local breast cancer patients. (RiverheadLOCAL)
  2. Riverhead seeks state grant funding for another public water extension in Calverton, where threatening contaminants have been identified in private drinking water wells. The water district would be extended and public water mains would be installed to serve about 50 occupied properties, mostly residential. (RiverheadLOCAL)
