Main Street Deli Expanding Into Former Boutique Space
Village Delicatessen, at 318 E. Main St., is knocking down the wall and expanding into the space that formerly held OMG! How Cute.

Six months after boutique shop at 320 E. Main St., a neighboring deli is taking advantage of the vacant space by knocking down a wall and expanding its own operations.
, at 318 E. Main St., will be adding 15 seats to its bigger space, which now only serves takeout.
The deli has been on East Main Street for seven years.

Owners Amada and Gonzalo Carrera received a building permit on March 9, and Amada said on Tuesday she hopes to have the new space open in a couple weeks. She added that the deli may need to close for a couple of days during construction, though she's hoping Village Deli will be able to stay open throughout.
OMG! How Cute's former owner and East End resident Helene Korbin, who owns an OMG! How Cute shop in Greenport, last year that she and her business partner Carol Burghardt chose their downtown location because they expected to get more foot traffic in their shop.
