Here are the top stories today in Riverhead:
- Two robbed in popular Suffolk County park. The two victims flagged down a patrol officer on East Main Street to report being robbed by two men in Grangebel Park, in Riverhead. Anyone who may have any information or witnessed the robbery is asked to contact the Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500. (Rutherford Daily Voice)
- Riverhead Central School District announced 65 Riverhead High School students were named Advanced Placement Scholars by the College Board for their performance on AP program exams. The AP program offers students the opportunity to enroll in college-level courses while in high school to earn college credit. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- Riverhead High School senior Clark Fischer was named Commended Student in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. He is now a candidate for special scholarships sponsored by corporate businesses. (RiverheadLOCAL)
- The president of the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, announced that the nonprofit organization that provides emergency medical services to nearly all of the Town of Riverhead, is so underfunded it cannot hire and retain the paid responders it needs to do its job. (RiverheadLOCAL)
