Huge Rubber Duck Visits Splish Splash To Highlight Water Safety

Guests at Splish Splash this weekend got to see the World's Largest Rubber Duck, with an eye toward spotlighting water safety.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Guests at Splish Splash this weekend were met with a special visitor— the World’s Largest Rubber Duck.

The giant yellow Mama Duck and her baby duck Timmy migrated to Splish Splash to highlight water safety.

In honor of International Lifeguard Appreciation Day on July 31, the park kicked off a full weekend highlighting their water park "heroes," organizers said.

Each lifeguard at the park is certified by Ellis & Associates, a global leader in integrated lifeguard training and comprehensive aquatic risk management. All lifeguards at Splish Splash Water Park go through a minimum of 26 hours of training to become certified through Ellis prior to their very first day at the park.

Standing more than 61 feet tall, the Mama Duck, marked a unique way for New York’s Largest Water Park to draw attention and raise awareness for water safety, Splish Splash said.
