Illegal Fireworks Seized At Scott's Pointe Adventure Park: Police
1 man was arrested at the Calverton adventure park, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Illegal fireworks were found at the Scott's Pointe adventure park in Calverton recently, police said.
According to Riverhead town police, on July 15 at about 10:55 a.m., authorities were notified by the Riverhead Town fire marshal's office about finding the illegal fireworks inside Scott's Pointe.
Riverhead patrol officers responded to the scene and located a quantity of fireworks in a sprinkler room at the establishment; officers confiscated all the illegal fireworks, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's crime control division was notified to further investigate the incident, authorities said.
After conferring with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, police arrested one man, 55, of Lindenhurst, and charged him with unlawful possession of fireworks, a violation, police said.

He was processed and released for a future court date, police said.
