Man Charged With DWI Had Girl, 15, In Vehicle: Police
He was arrested early Sunday, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A Shirley man was arrested early Sunday after he drove while intoxicated with a girl, 15, in his vehicle, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, the incident took place at about 12:45 a.m. when officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Avenue and East Main Street.
Tony Garcia-Rivera, 25, who was driving a 2012 GMC Acadia, was found to be intoxicated, with the 15-year-old passenger in the vehicle, police said.

Garcia-Rivera was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI, a felony under Leandra's Law, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
He was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
