1. Restaurant Depot coming to long-vacant Walmart space in Riverhead. Restaurant Depot, a members-only chain selling wholesale food, beverages, equipment and supplies for restaurants and bars, has signed a 15-year lease in Riverhead Plaza on Route 58. (Patch)
2. Crown Jewel Series to be awarded Ted Christopher Cup following Islip 300 at Riverhead. The final race for the 2021 Crown Jewel Series at Riverhead Raceway will unfold Saturday afternoon during the 5th Annual Islip 300 Tour Type Modified extravaganza. The 2021 Crown Jewel Series was to be a four race series, however the first scheduled 71-lap event was rained out in July and not rescheduled. (RaceDayCT).
3. At Woodside Orchards in Jamesport and Aquebogue you can find fresh baked goodies and other sweets made from the apples grown at its orchards. Some of the apples also end up as hard cider. After Halloween they operate more as a farm stand offering everything from apples, to pies and breads. (Newsday)
