🌱 Riverhead Daily: HS Senior Wins Award + Duck Pond Day Photos

Here are the top stories today in Riverhead:

1. On Sunday, Ava Lily Sumwalt, a Riverhead senior, was named the female winner of the prestigious Butch Dellecave Award. The award recognizes students for excellence in athletics, academics and community service. Way to go Ava! (Subscription: Riverhead News Review)
2. The Sound Justice Initiative in collaboration with the Suffolk County Sheriff's office offers inmates at Suffolk County Correctional Facilities studies in philosophy and other liberal arts subjects in an innovative program that "fights incarceration with education." (RiverheadLOCAL)
3. On June 22 at 6 p.m. the next Riverhead Town water forum will take place at Town Hall. The meeting will focus on updates on projects surrounding drinking water-related issues in the town of Riverhead. The agenda will also include updates on "the agreement to bring public water to homes in Manorville." (RiverheadLOCAL)
4. Rain could not keep the happy crowd from smiling at the Annual Duck Pond Day in Wading River this past Sunday. The Wading River Shoreham Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event and also celebrated the Wading River Fire Department's 75th Anniversary. The event included a parade, arts and craft vendors, food, drinks and music. (Patch)
