Here are the top stories in Riverhead today:

  1. Support the North Fork Community Theatre on Saturday, June 11 at 2 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Mattituck; enjoy a night of music, food and drinks. The events support the NFCT Building on Tradition Campaign to make renovations to the theater. The NFCT has to match the donations up to $100,000. Tickets for each event costs $125 for those 31 years old or older, $85 for those under 31 years old and $175 for sparkling supporters. To purchase tickets, call 631-298-4500 or visit the Brown Paper Tickets website. (RiverheadLOCAL)

  4. Did you see the dolphin off Greenport on Tuesday? Many residences were able to watch the dolphins that were spotted west of the ferry toward Sunset Beach on Shelter Island. See video. (North Fork Patch)
  5. By the end of June, Suffolk County officers "on street patrol, in schools and on the gang unit and supervisors will be wearing body cameras," Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said. Chief Thomas Bennett said Wednesday that the department "purchased 125 Taser Axon Flex cameras and officers will be trained on the equipment next month." (Subscription: Newsday)
