2. Three people were arrested and charged with stealing credit cards from a vehicle outside a home in Wading River Friday, police said. According to Riverhead Town Police, Keval Gray, 31, of Amityville, David Andre, 29, of Amityville, and Carizma Brown, 31, of Central Islip were all arrested and charged with six counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The three were arrested and taken to Riverhead Police headquarters pending arraignment, police said. (Patch)
3. An elderly man shoveling snow fell into a swimming pool and drowned during the storm Saturday morning, police said. According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 8:30 a.m. in Cutchogue. Officers pulled the unconscious man from the pool and began CPR with the assistance of Cutchogue Fire Department Rescue personnel, police said. The Cutchogue Fire Department transported the man to Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased, police said. (North Fork Patch)
4. Daniel Decosta, 34, of Coram, was found shot to death — lying in snow on a Shirley roadway — early Saturday morning, Suffolk police said. Seventh Precinct police officers were called to Flower Road, just off of Neighborhood Road, after a 911 caller reported a man was shot in the street at about 12:35 a.m., police said. Decosta was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, according to police.
