Baldwin Bowl And Lounge Boarded After Gambling Machines Found: PD
The owner faces charges after police say the business was operating without a valid NYS liquor license and had gambling machines inside.
BALDWIN, NY — The owner of the Baldwin Bowl and Lounge, a bowling alley, was arrested during a "quality-of-life initiative" conducted on Thursday night, Nassau police said.
Officers responded to the Baldwin Bowl and Lounge, at 2407 Grand Ave., Baldwin, around 8 p.m., police said. The business was operating without a valid New York state liquor license, police said. Officers also observed two gambling machines inside the bowling alley, police said.
The Town of Hempstead Buildings Department issued the owner, William Shasho, 48, multiple summonses, and the location was boarded, locked and secured, police said.

Shasho was charged with possession of a gambling device, places of public assembly: license requirements and had two previous active warrants from Nassau County, police said. He is set to be arraigned on Friday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
