Crime Watch Part Two: Pharmaceutical Pills Stolen From N. Village Building

Recent police activity as reported by the RVC PD.

Larceny:

On Aug. 20, a complainant from Thorne Street in Patchogue reported that unknown person(s) stole a purse from her boyfriends truck that was parked at N. Park Avenue and Grand Avenue in Rockville Centre on Aug. 20 between 7:45 and 9:15 p.m.

On Aug. 20, a complainant from Westbury Road in Westbury reported that on Aug. 20 at approximately 2:20 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a pocketbook from a chair located in McFadden’s bar, located at 210 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 20, a complainant from N. Village Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Aug. 19 at 8:30 a.m. and Aug. 20 at 4:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole 30 Oxycodene 5-325 pills from a desk drawer within the residence.

On Aug. 20, a complainant from Clinton Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that sometime between Aug. 19 at 8:30 p.m. and Aug. 20 at 9 a.m., unknown person(s) stole her 1998 Nissan parked in the rear of 1 College Place in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 22, a complainant from Merrick Road in Rockville Centre reported that unknown person(s) stole two NYS license plates from his 2008 Honda parked in the parking lot at his residence.

Harassment:

On Aug. 18 at 5:25 p.m., a complainant from Jefferson Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that she had a verbal dispute with the grandfather of her daughter’s daughter while at his Devon Road residence to pick up the child.

On Aug. 22, a complainant from S. Centre Avenue in Rockville Centre reported being harassed by telephone and text between Friday, Aug. 19 at 6:45 p.m. and Aug. 22 at 11:20 p.m. by a friend of his former girlfriend.

Property Damage:

On Aug. 18 at 12:48 p.m., a complainant from N. Forest Avenue in Rockville Centre reported that the roof to her 2010 Chevrolet was damaged by unknown means while parked in the parking lot of her residence sometime between Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 18 at 12:30 p.m. 

On Aug. 21 at 2:55 a.m., police personnel responded to the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and N. Park Avenue in Rockville Centre for a power outage reportedly caused by a damaged underground cable resulting in multiple TSL and traffic control conditions. RCFD and Power Plant responded.

On Aug. 20, a complainant from Benedict Avenue in Valley Stream reported that the passenger side to her 2010 Honda was damaged by personnel at an accident scene in front of 716 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 21, a complainant from Colonia, NJ reported that the driver side and hood to his parked 2005 Nissan was damaged by a group of unknown males who were fighting in the vicinity of 18 S. Park Ave. in Rockville Centre.

On Aug. 19, a complainant library director from Rockville Centre Library, located at 221 N. Village Ave. reported that the library book drop box valued at $3,500 was damaged by a motor vehicle that left the scene on Aug. 18 at approximately 5:10 a.m.
