Five from SSHS Boys Lax and Baseball Named to All-County Team

South Side High School had 22 male student-athletes honored after the spring sports season for their extraordinary play. Lacrosse led the way with three All-County selections, followed by the baseball team, who had two All-County players.

Here's the list of athletes honored for their spring season play:

Varsity Lacrosse

• All County — Bryan Gerrato, Dominic Moriarty and Zachary Scaduto.
• All County Honorable Mention — Michael Hayes and Stephen Tita.
• All Conference — Steve Cecere, Patrick Finnerty and Michael Firestone.

Varsity Tennis         

• All Conference — William Rizzuto.

Track & Field

• All Division 4 x 100 Meter — Evan Chernack, Kevin Cook, James Hallwood and Nicholas Suss.
• All Division 100 Meter — James Hallwood.
• All Division 200 Meter — James Hallwood and Nicholas Suss.
• All Division 1600 Meter — Sean Culkin.
• All Division 3200 Meter — Randy Williams.
• All Division Shot Put — Steve Meoli.
• All Division Discus — Harry Dantona.    

Varsity Baseball  

• All County — James Howard and Louis Matarazzo.
• All Conference — Christian Colletti, Matthew Sollin and Andrew Talbot.
