SHIRLEY, NY — A person was robbed by a knife-wielding duo after agreeing to meet up to discuss the sale of gold chains in Shirley on Friday night, Suffolk police said.
The person had posted two gold chains for sale on a social media site, and during a meetup at around 8 p.m. on Floyd Road, they were robbed by a male and female at knifepoint, according to police.
The duo managed to make off with one chain, police said.
