Bicyclist Dies In Suffolk Crash Saturday Night: Police
No charges were filed, police say.
MASTIC, NY — A bicyclist was killed in a Mastic crash Saturday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on Mastic Road near Dover Avenue at 9:40 p.m.
A woman, 74, of Mastic Beach, who was not injured, was driving a 2019 Kia SUV southbound on Mastic Road, near Dover Avenue, when the vehicle struck an adult male bicyclist traveling southbound, police said.

The bicyclist, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No charges were filed, and the Kia was impounded for a safety check, police said.
