  1. Officials are looking for the owner of a boat that washed ashore at the Smith Point County Park in Shirley. The United States Coast Guard officials confirmed the 25-foot boat was found on Sunday night with no one on board. Police continue to search and are asking anyone with information to call the Coast Guard's Sector Long Island Sound Command Center at 203-468-4421. (Patch)
  2. Shots were fired, and a house on Huguenot Drive in Mastic Beach was struck. The incident happened on Sunday morning. A resident called 911 to report the shooting. Police arrived at the scene, but no arrests were made, and no injuries were reported. (Shirley-Mastic Patch)
