  1. Suffolk police confirmed that the owner of the Vessel boat that was found washed up at the Smith Point State Park in Shirley had been identified as 52-year-old Todd Mauro from Ronkonkoma. He was last seen Sunday morning in Patchogue. Searches were suspended Monday night. (Patch)
  2. Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library features the "Going from Worrier to Warrior" program. Coach Linda Mazza will teach techniques to help with inner strength and positivism. The session starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Register here. (Patch Events)
  3. Center Moriches Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 6. The event starts at 2 p.m. at the Corner of Main Street and Adelaide in East Moriches. All are welcome to join and support our local veterans. (Moriches CofC)
  4. Rashawn Brinkley, 27, from Medford, has been charged with first-degree sexual for abusing two boys at Gordon Heights Park on Oct. 7. The victims spotted Brinkley back at the park and alerted a family member, who called the police. (Patch)
