Long Island Police Probe Report Of Teen Approached At School Bus Stop

An unknown person asked the boy, 16, if he wanted a ride to school, police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — A man reported an unknown person approached a 16-year-old boy at a school bus stop in Shirley on Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.

The person approached the boy on Ranch Drive and asked if he wanted a ride to school at around 6:30 a.m., according to police.

Investigators from the 7th Precinct in Shirley are probing the incident, a police spokesperson said.
