More Than $74K Raised For Family Of NYPD Cop From LI Killed In Crash
The loss of Cliford Saintvil is "profoundly felt," colleague says on Fund The First crowdfunding platform.

LONG ISLAND, NY — More than $74,000 has been raised for the family of an NYPD cop from Long Island who died after a car crash last week, leaving behind a wife, three children, and a baby on the way, according to Fund The First.
Cliford Saintvil died after a Jan .7b crash on the Southern State Parkway in Valley Stream, Newsday reported.
Co-workers at the 113th Precinct in Jamaica have banded together for a fundraiser to help Cliford Saintvil's grieving family on the crowdfunding platform.

On the fundraising page, which was organized by Nancy Veille, Saintvil is described as "a devoted husband and father of three cherished daughters," including Camila, Leylani, and Enya, not to mention one baby on the way, "tragically "dying, leaving his wife, Fenia, and children "heartbroken."
Saintvil was on his way to his shift at the precinct at the time of the crash, Vielle said.

Saintvil, who was reportedly a U.S. Marine who lived in Shirley, died later at the hospital.
"To support Cliford Saintvil's grieving family, we are organizing a fundraiser to provide financial assistance and emotional support in the aftermath of this devastating loss," Vielle said. "Your generosity can make a significant difference in helping them navigate through the challenges ahead."
"The loss of Cliford Saintvil is profoundly felt, and the community is urged to keep his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," she continues. "Thank you in advance for your support.
A spokesman for Fund the First said Saintvil's family would likely not comment.
Saintvil is scheduled to be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery on Friday.
