1. Fuel Cell Park at the Town of Brookhaven landfill is open and generating 7.4 megawatts of energy. Brookhaven Township announced that the fuel cell facility will provide reliable electricity to the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) system in Yaphank and sufficient power for 7,500 homes. 2. Everyone loves a story: 'Cream!' Librarian Debbi Gallucci will present a live reading of the short story "Cream" by Haruki Murakami, on Friday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. It's an MMS Public Library event so registration is required. (MMS Public Library)
3. William Floyd School District releases coronavirus reports. The charts show the number of daily positive COVID-19 cases for the William Floyd School District.
