John and Mark Cronin, the co-founders of John's Crazy Socks joined the high school students in the school's auditorium to share positive messages about the importance of believing in themselves, creating healthy life habits, and how being successful is possible for everyone! - Get Crafty at the MMS Community Library on Tuesday, March 15. Come by to create a mini sculpture using air-dry clay. The program will start at 4 p.m. and it's a drop-in class. Click here to register. (MMSCL)
- Town of Brookhaven will offer spring education programs for residents once again. On March 26, the Town's Safety Department will host a free bicycle rodeo to teach kids about safety. - Patchogue Chamber of Commerce released this summer’s Alive After Five festival schedule. The first day of the festival will happen on July 14. Other official dates are July 28 and Aug. 11 and 25. Monteforte III, 40, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said."
