  1. A new Ecuadorian Deli is open now in Mastic Beach. JB Deli Grocery is located at 524 Mastic Road. The new eatery opened on November, 2021. A hot food menu is available. The deli opens at 5:30 a.m. on most days and 6 a.m. on Sundays for breakfast. (Greater LI)
  2. Town of Brookhaven features the documentary “Angst, Raising Awareness Around Anxiety.” On Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. a virtual screening of the documentary will be presented to the public. Those interested in participating must register at BrookhavenNY.gov/AngstRegistration by Jan. 26. For more information, please contact the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau at 631-451-8011.   4. Nearby News: Police Identified the man who was struck by two cars in Port Jefferson Station. Gerard Hamill, a Queens resident, was hit by two cars while attempting to cross Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station. Hamill was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said. (Port Jefferson Patch)
