- A woman was shot on Sunday night on Pinewood Drive in Shirley. According to the police reports, the woman was shot in the chest after stopping at a location on Pinewood Drive to "take her belongings." She was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated. No arrests were made, and police are investigating the case. (Shirley-Mastic Patch)
- Smoke Shack BBQ is moving to a permanent location in Mastic Beach.
