- Rep. Lee Zeldin, who is a Shirley resident, was endorsed by New York’s Republican Party leaders on Tuesday at a convention in Garden City. Zeldin is a William Floyd High School graduate and grew up in Mastic Beach. During the event, he said his goal is to make the people feel they are back in control of their government again. - Two men were arrested after stealing goods from the Ulta store in Shirley. Police arrested the pair on Tuesday. The men stole merchandise from the store and fled, after that, a chase started and ended in Medford. (Patch)
- Registration for Little Creators Art Studio begins on March 7. The program is hosted by the MMS Community Library and will be held on March 14, from 10-11 a.m. The little ones will explore the world of "process art" where the goal is just to create! The class will welcome kids of age 18 months- 5 years with an adult. (MMSCL)
- Nearby News: Catalytic converter thieves were caught on camera in Holtsville. Gregory Graff, who owns TLC Transportation located in Holtsville, said 24 catalytic converters were stolen from his business over President's Day weekend. (News 12 Westchester)
