- The Smith Point Sprint Triathlon is set for this weekend! The race will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13. Athletes will participate in the Shirley area circuits. (Race Entry)
- The MMS Community Library will host the "Sunset Beach Hike with an AMSEAS Marine Biologist" on Thursday, Aug. 18. Participants will meet at Smith Point Beach in front of the Fire Island Wilderness Visitor Center at 6 p.m. Register here. (Patch)
