The fourth- and fifth-grade students led by third-grade teacher and advisor Kayla Schweers, recently held a “Birthday-in-a-Tin” drive to benefit local residents through the William Jackson Mastics and Shirley Community Emergency Food Pantry. - A golf simulator bar is set to open in Patchogue on Feb. 20. The Birdies is an old-school cocktail bar ready for its grand opening in Patchogue's downtown. (Greater Long Island)
- The family of Detective Dennis Wustenhoff still looking for answers. On Feb. 15, 1990, Wustenhoff was killed by a car bomb in front of his North Patchogue home. After 32 years, the police still have no leads of who is responsible for the detective's death and the case remains unsolved. (News12)
