- "Seventeen William Floyd High School students were recently honored by the Town of Brookhaven Black History Commission for their academic achievements in attaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher! The William Floyd Board of Education also joined in recognizing these achievements by honoring the students at a recent Board of Education meeting." According to a recent press release. - A man was robbed in the parking lot of a skate Park in Mastic Beach. The incident happened on Friday night when a man was sitting in his car when was approached by the suspect who waved a gun at him and stole his money and credit cards. No arrests have been made. Police are investigating the incident as a first-degree robbery. (Patch)

- Chamber of Commerce will host an Easter Egg Trail Hunt at Farmingville Hills County Park. The event is set for April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park is located at 501 Horseblock Ave., Farmingville. Tickets are $15 per child and the ages are 2-10. (Mommy Poppins)
