- William Floyd High School Careers has job openings for those interested in working as a teacher assistant. Openings include barbering, carpentry, and medical assisting. Please email a letter of intent and resume to Robert Felicetta at rfelicetta@wfsd.k12.ny.us. (School District)
- MMS Public Library has a great amount of technology equipment to be tried out. On Wednesday, Feb. 2, visit the library teen's department from 4-5 p.m. to learn about 3D Pens, Minecraft EDU, Sphero BOLT, and Oculus. No registration is required. (MMS Library)
- Moab Police Department released Gabby Petito's case report. According to the report, the officers who questioned Petito and Laundrie made "unintentional mistakes." Both officers will have additional training in domestic violence issues. (Patchogue Patch)
- Nearby News: A driver was killed in a car accident on Northern State Parkway. On Thursday afternoon a vehicle crashed into two trees and a pole east of Brush Hollow Road in Westbury, the driver died from his injuries.
