"Carmel Police can confirm the operator of the pick-up truck had no criminal intent and had simply stopped on the side of the road and exited his vehicle to retrieve an item on the shoulder of the roadway. The man was unaware of the children nearby at the bus stop and did not intend to alarm them in any way," Lieut. Michael Bodo said in an update to the Nov. 6 news release.
