Carmel Police Probe Children's Incident Report

Children on Barrett Hill Road said someone in an older model, dark-colored pick-up truck tried to approach children at a bus stop.

CARMEL, NY — Carmel police ask anyone in the vicinity of Barrett Hill Road and Bullet Hill road to review security camera footage from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday.

Police were called to the area on a report of a suspicious incident that had occurred during the morning school pick-up time. A resident of Barrett Hill Road reported that the children of the residence observed an individual in an older model, dark-colored pick-up truck apparently attempt to approach the children at their bus stop.

At this time police don't know if anything criminal occurred; however, the matter is under investigation in conjunction with the Mahopac Central School District.
