Deputy Makes DWI Arrest on Route 22

He was held at the Putnam County Correctional Facility pending arraignment.

A 22-year-old Patterson man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated after a recent traffic stop, according to police.

Deputy Thomas Lee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested Brian R. Sheehan at about 2 a.m. Monday on Route 22 in Patterson after he committed a traffic violation, officials say. 

Authorities processed Sheehan at the Putnam County Correctional Facility, where he was held pending arraignment. He will be due to appear in Patterson Justice Court at a later date.

The Sheriff's Office generally does not release blood-alcohol levels, as they may be considered evidentiary.
